Volunteering and Staying in Touch with the PTSA

Wahoo! The school year is off to a GREAT start... And I bet everyone is thinking... "how can I be a part of that good stuff going on at Maple. Here's a start:

Camp is coming up this week! Come and help send us off on Wednesday morning at 9 am. The fourth and fifth graders will need help getting all their luggage into the buses.

All week long Ms. Stalker needs help in the lunchroom with the kindergartners. It's taking the young ones a little extra time for the little ones to get their food in the lunch-line. Can you help?

Lastly... we need help with picture day on October 13th. We need six people there for the day in three hour shifts.

First Week of School has been a BLAST!

Phew! The kids are back in school and the first week was AWESOME!!

Thanks to all the PTSA Board members who have been out and about helping around the school this week. We had a GREAT Parent Breakfast on Wednesday. Parents came and listened to a wonderful presentation by Pat Hunter about our Title I program at the school. We were able to pick up a few new members and I look forward to picking up several more next week when we get out our new membership forms.

Thanks to our Board member in charge of fundrasing, Marcella, for putting together an EXCELLENT fundraising assembly on Friday morning. The kids are pumped to help the school raise money for school events and field trips! Thanks, Marcella!
